The Man On The Hill

by Ben K Adams

Acoustic folk rock by a one man band.

Think Mumford & Sons but with less of a beard.

Swirling vocal harmonies mixed with sharp acoustic strumming and dark vintage electric guitars.

Track Name: In The Moonlight
Hazel eyes glisten in the moonlight all alone
The owl screams an echo, the cold air engulfs your heart
Dew drops on a grass field against the silhouette of home
The hills have died as we're further apart

The distance between us I couldn't even shout your name
Even though you told me 6000 times you feel the same
Written grey bubbles express to me what you need
Each time I miss your smile my heart can only concede

Since I left it's changed the way that I'm made
The water between us I promise I'd swim in a heartbeat
Still got that photo but it only continues to fade
Holding you tight as you close your eyes makes me complete
Track Name: Oh Laura
Oh Laura can you hear these words
They're in my head but that never seems to work
Two years passed and it still feels just the same
I was too damn shy to even ever say your name

New years came and you looked so beautiful
I would've told you then but I never felt so stunned
I was Brad Pitt and you were Jessica Biel
If only that celebrity could just say how he feels

Midnight came but I hadn't built the nerve
Too damn drunk and I didn't wanna slur
But when I kissed your lips all my nerves just went away
And it felt so good I gotta do it again

Oh Laura can you hear these words
Track Name: Edge Of The World [Deathray Cover]
Hey baby, wait and see
We're ok for another night
Lights so bright, long highway
Fades so dark as you look my way

We spent our whole lives dreaming
And now we walk slowly away
From the edge of the world

You my love
You won't leave
Broken hearts, fixed rebuilt parts
Make us right
Found your dove
That damn bird, it sings through the night

We spent our whole lives dreaming
And now we walk slowly away
From the edge of the world
